A Concept Webcomic Series from LDB Jones

The deeper she searches for what’s missing in the lake, the harder it becomes to hide what’s beneath her skin.

Keysha Tides came to Black Pines Harbor to recover a missing vessel. Instead, she finds a town haunted by a lake-monster legend, an investigation that keeps pulling her closer to the truth, and something beneath the water that may understand what she is better than anyone else. A story about identity, belonging, and the trust that only becomes possible when hiding is no longer enough.

The Story

The Lake in Black Pines is hiding something. But so is everyone else.

When a man and his luxury boat vanish without a trace in the isolated lakeside town of Blackpine Reach, private vessel-recovery investigator Keysha Tides is hired to find them. The locals blame the creature said to haunt Lake Fogrest—but Keysha has a secret of her own: beneath her human camouflage, she is an aquatic alien.

As the investigation draws her deeper into the town’s folklore, buried history, and fiercely guarded relationships, Keysha begins to realize that something powerful really is living in the lake—and it may know exactly what she is.
